PPD 12

I was really enjoying classes and was dissapointed that this was the last class with content. This class spoke about PR.

When it came to PR i had thousands of ideas swarming around in my head, most of them close to unrealistic given the fact that there would be a budget in the real world.

I had been researching for my marketing mix promotion homework and came across guerrilla marketing, something mcqueen had invested in. I was not sure about what it was so i could not add it to my work yet.

This class taught me the different types which included guerrilla marketing. I remember thinking that mcqueen did that and i had no idea what it really was. It was interesting to see how the research work complied with the course work and how i was constantly learning and expanding my knowledge.

This is the reason i wished that i had been in class in person and not been in my home country. I had gone through the various different slides but it was not the same as in class learning.

For my PR, i was sure i wanted to added a little theatrical element to it. Theoretically and Metaphorically as Zendaya is an actress and is in the movies and theatres. From what i have seen the marketing needs to have some pizzaz, some surprise element to get people excited, something out of the blue.

I decided on doing a promotional party in a ultra luxury movie hall. Either a videography would be shown or something else. I wasin’t quite sure yet. I thought to add the fashion element it would be cool to do something different than just a n ordinary store in the opening. Racks of clothing in the staircases of a movie hall would have been different and given a runaway look or just something that relates to a walk in closet. Every girl likes clothes and to be surrounded in it makes you feel good and an incentive to buy.
