For this assignment my topic is The IFS Business Pathway. I had to showcase my work that I had done over the past few weeks with the help of A4 sheets. We had to use the help of different business analyses and research location visits to come up with a collaboration.
I was happy with my project. I had done a lot of research for my collaboration and came up Alexander McQueen x Zendaya. This course gave me a more in-depth idea about the business of fashion as compared to the previous term. I learned a lot of new information. I answered a lot more in class as I knew more information in this field. This helped me grow as a person, not only by knowledge but also about self-affirmation and confidence.
I was disappointed that I was not there for a crucial part of the first two weeks of the term where a lot of the content was covered. I feel like I would have had a lot to offer and the teaching would have made my presentation stronger. Due to this I had not been able to decide on a collaboration until much later into this course, this doubled my course load as well as made me indecisive for the work I was initially presenting.
As I started my researching work I realised that I need to think out of the box when it came to presentations. For this I worked hard in my Adobe skills and created templates I did not know I had the skill for. I made myself my own competition and challenged myself. This really helped me as I did not put anything in my final project that I was not completely happy with.
One disappointment I faced toward the end of this course was that I fell very sick and had another covid scare. I felt very disheartened as I had already missed the first two weeks due to this and I was enjoying my classes thoroughly. This was very challenging for me as it was in the peak period for me to finish my work and show it to my teacher for feedback. This was not possible as I could not go for classes. However I came out stronger from this, as soon as i recovered I worked hard and made sure to do proper research for my leading brand as well as my collaborative influence.
For my undergraduate studies I will make sure to take better care of my health. I will make sure to answer in class even if I am wrong and to be outspoken. Many a times I held back because I was unsure and it turned out to be the right answer. I want to avoid that, not for gaining credibility but for being more confident with myself. I can do this by reading more and gaining more information. I want to also continue to work on my digital skills to be able to properly showcase my ideas.
