It was the day of the trade show visit. I had to take the bus to shoreditch. The first time i went to Shoredtich was in the toolbox pathway for a class visit and really enjoyed the fashion in the area.I was excited and looking forward to a class visit. I had no idea as to what to do about my range plan. I thought being exposed to new collections and the street style there would help me with my range.
I was bummed when the Scoop tradeshow was cancelled but there was a quick fix and we went for another one.
I was in the 11:30 slot so i had some time to kill. A few of the girls and i went to the vintage market. I had been keen to go there since the last visit and tried to look for pricing of clothes to give me ideas for my range plan as it was a sustainable one.
I decided to stay on till 430 to visit scoop and was glad i did. I had not got much information for my range plan from the vintage fashion.
Walking into scoop i noticed how they gave a free and empty scoop shopping bag. I thought it was a fun marketing technique cause i had seen these bags around and i was wondering if we could buy products from this trade show. An incentive for people to go in once it was opened to the public.
When i walked in i was shocked to see the amount of stalls there were. A few of them caught my eye including Keepsake the label. They hand some very trendy pantsuits. The single merchandise i was majorly considering for my line. I took their card and some images of the products i liked. I thought this would be a good fit for my collection. Another one i liked was Fat Morgana, they had some very fashionn forward jackets which i thought could work as a three piece for my range.
I remember thinking that there are so many such places which are immersed in fashion and how i should make more utility of being in London city and going for more events to learn more.
I think this visit really helped me and opened my eyes. I got inspiration not only for my range plan but also to be more directly immersed in the fashion world and actively look for fashion shows and other exhibits.
